To withstand the impacts of climate change, communities must work together on just solutions that strengthen both physical and social infrastructure.

The climate crisis is here. Sea-level rise, heat waves , and increased precipitation are some of the climate impacts that are now commonplace in our state. Climate change worsens existing social, economic and health inequities, making it even more challenging for communities to prepare, adapt, or recover from climate-fueled disasters.

We believe that the communities most impacted by the climate crisis have the creative solutions that we need to protect, prepare, and prevent the most negative impacts of climate change.

We seek to partner with and support organizations, municipal and state agencies, advocates and coalitions that are striving to make communities more resilient and equitable. In addition to resourcing efforts focused exclusively on resilience, we welcome opportunities that align with Barr’s other climate strategies - clean energy and mobility - and its special initiative focused on the waterfront.
