Grantmaking Process
Find out about Barr's grantmaking process and how to share ideas with us.
Barr's grantmaking budget for 2024 is $130M.Â
Founded in 1997, Barr has contributed more than $1 billion to charitable causes.
In a typical year, between 15% and 30% of the grants we make are to organizations that have not previously received a grant from the Foundation.
Â
Of our Climate grantmaking in 2021 and 2022 went to people of color-led, equity-centered climate organizations.Â
We invest in various methods of generating meaningful and actionable insights for our work, our partners, and our field.
